If you're into (or want to get into) climbing feel free to come down and try out the SWAC Climbing Club. We meet on a Monday evening between 19:15 and 21:15 at the Hut in Old Leigh.
One end of the Hut has been converted into a full height climbing wall, with an overhang and a tilting section to enable both easy and difficult climbs (from F3a to F7a for the experts!).
Mostly we do boldering - climbing unroped over full sized crach mats - although we also do roped climbing where appropriate. Lots of dynoing to - if you don't know what that is then come and see: you will enjoy it!
Next year we will be organising outside trips to other climbing walls and onto real rock.
We have members from the Scout and Explorer Scout sections of all abilities. We aren't all trying to be champion climbers but we will give as much training and advice as you want.
